    I love rounded cabins.

Ah yes. Diane, Garden design...worked on here several years ago...Looks like she has not had a brush laid on her since I did the work....She was built by a blind friend of Bill Garden. (not kidding.)

Put a new bowsprit on her and cosmetics.

The rounded sides are in fact the problem. Pretty little boat and a worthy restoration project. Anyone interested could contact me for further information.

I remember reading years ago about this blind boatbuilder that Mr. Garden knew. I have a magazine article about him somewhere. He didn't have poor eyesight, he was totally blind. Impressive story.

The main problem with the boat is that the house/cockpit coaming has delaminated, is rotten and needs to be replaced. When I was working on the boat the owner considered it and passed...pretty big job.

I hope someone buys her and treats her well. One has to say that it does not appear that the current owner did.

I wonder where the boat is. The same ad is on Olympic Pen Craigslist.

The boat was purchased from the Center for Wooden Boats and towed to the San Juans. There is a boat in the picture that appears to have a WN registration number. I am only familiar with Orcas Island marinas. I don't recognize the setting...

You could find out where it is and take the Wash. State ferry to the San Juans. I can tell you more if you want to contact me. Also, I will be on Orcas in early May for a period of time.

Looks like a nice little boat right on the edge of needing a lot of work.

As long as we're looking at skipjacks, what's the function of having that great big stem other than holding up the bowsprit? Ice breaking? It seems out of proportion with the rest of the boat.

Those are some ugly / common houses in the back ground for water front property, maybe one of the un-ferried islands ? Both the other boats in the back ground appear to have Washington license numbers

Looks like rust bleeding out of some of the cabin trunk fastenings. Off with it.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

Rust stains? Maybe an attempt at humor?
