Hi y'all

I'm working on another great collection of original plans, and hope to have a finding aid up on the Online Archive of California (OAC) by the end of September. I need your help with vessel histories. This is what I have (keep reading), but would like to know who did hull design, what yard she was built at, and other information you may have.

Here is what I have: "Idalia (built 1908; schooner yacht). This 75 foot yacht was the second place winner of the longest trans-Pacific yacht race in 1925, from San Francisco to Tahiti. At the time of the race she was owned by Dr. E.R. Parker. In 1954 she was scuttled about 400 miles north of Hawaii after a mid-sea rescue of her crew by the United States Navy. These two original drawings show rig and sail changes, and probably date from around 1924 or 1925, in preparation for the Trans-Pacific race."

Please keep in mind that these plans and the very large collection to which they belong will not be available for viewing, duplication, or research until I get the finding aid up to the OAC; I'm shooting for September. In the meantime, please feel free to check out the cool collections that are available to the public.
