Default Looking for plans/pics for Hartley 25' powersailer

    Hi all,

I'm trying to locate some plan info on rudder dimensions for the Hartley powersailer (gotta build a new one). Tried contacting Hartley in NZ back in Feb but no reply to date. I've just about worn out Google looking for pictures of the profile so I was wondering if any of you kind folk may have something to offer.

    TIA

Hey Andrew, have you checked your email?
I have the plans for the Powersailer. I've just about finished building one. Have a look at my Redwing Update threat in Building/Repair.
I'll dig out the plans tomorrow.
This photo is a few years old and there's been some changes but the rudder is the same.

Hartley only replies to money. Send them enough for a complete set of plans and they will respond by mailing them to you.

    Hi Guys,

    Thanks for the replies.

Maybe I might have the design wrong but the owner advised "powersailer".

here is a pic of her on the slip

If I have the design wrong any ideas? Also does anyone have a number for Hartley in NZ as I can't seem to find one.

    regards,

The name was change to Spindrift 24 way back. That is a Spindrift 24 aka Powersailer.
Here's the rudder detail you wanted.

Thanks for that but the rudder on this one is an inboard one which got me wondering about whether or not the owner had the design right.

Here's a pic of her underwater

24'6" LOA.21'6" WLL. 9' Beam. 4'6" Draft. Double chine plywood on timber frame construction. Keel config can be centreboard, bilge keel, steel fin (as that one seems to be) and timber fin keel as mine is.

She seems to be sitting a bit deep in the water for a Spindrift (Powersailer) The waterline should be just kissing the bottom of the transom.

Yes that is me. This hull is round bilge which is another thing leading me to believe that maybe the design as mentioned is something else.

Not a Hartley then. Though the cabin shape and the fin keel look about right.
Sent you an email to order some more blocks. Gary Pick.
