Storm Boat

I have what I believe to be a "storm boat". It is ca. 4.5m long and1.5 m wide. Both floor, gunwales and struts that link the floor to the gunwales are wooden. The sides of the boat are canvas which is seriously perished and in need of being replaced. Where can I obtain info about this craft, is restoration recommended and what is its indicative monetary value. I should add that the fittings are brass but covered with paint for camouflage.
