Missed you! I was on Katie Ford, just across the dock from, of all things, Circe. Next time!

That's exactly what I was told at the show. Hard to think what she would have looked like without the counter.....

49' on the water. Originally more like 53-54 feet on deck, then lengthened I believe at the counter. Now that 67 feet is probably overall, but OD she is now more like 58 (if I recall). From the current owner......

She blew past us on Sunday during the race like we had the brakes on, but and were averaging between 6-7 knots while on a close reach.

Now she's sixty SEVEN feet? She seems to grow with every telling. Wonder what she's eating.

(BTW, she just went past my window this morning on her way back but it was too dark to get a picture.)

    She's a traveler, she is!

This unfortunately poorly cropped photo is actually a much larger picture than as viewed at the site - the link opens full size.

ETA: This photo (with 'nicer' cropping) also opens larger than displayed on site..

This photo was taken after taking fuel and loading cargo bound for Alaska. The raised pilot house/stateroom was under construction as was the mid mast at Port Orchard. We departed for Alaska a week later after stepping the midmast directly across the Gulf of Alaska 6 days to Chignik, Alaska to tender salmon. Departed Kodiak September 30, arriving back to Port Orchard october 5th. Recent photos of the new midmast, and You Tube videos in the Links section have been posted at www.aleutianexpress.com Carol Hasse at Port Townsend Sails will help me with rigging the Express as a Saysail Schooner with 3 roller furling Jibs. Thanks, John

Nice picture. That's my boat. Have owned three of them over the years. The first was Havana which sadly died this year, a fire at sea, second was the Eclipse, and lastly and most favorite is the Aleutian. You have some great pictures there!
