Default plastic resin says "interior" use

Hi group, I recently bought some weldwood brand plastic resin glue and was surprised to see it described as interior glue. Not something I use all that often but now I'm curious as to what happened - formula change?... lawyers? ...what gives? Is it still suitable for exterior or no?

    thanks

There are different types of Weldwood. As far as I know, the stuff that has a little plastic vial of "hardener", and a tin of powdered catalyst is exterior. The stuff that's just add water to powder is interior.

thanks for the quick response Mrleft8
the stuff I picked up must indeed be interior then - it is the "just add water" variety.

People have used the water mix plastic resin glue for many years on masts and other boat building projects. It has "Excellent water resistance". It's not as waterproof as epoxy or resorcinal, but, used correctly it is very strong and when protected with varnish, or paint, stays together very well.
