    Default Meade's Woodwind

I've been looking for my next build and have been leaning towards Bufflehead in a stripbuild method. However, I'm very interested if anyone has an further information on The Skip Izon designed and built "Woodwind". Skip doesn't have a website, and I've been coming up short while looking for details.

    She's a beautiful boat!

That is a stunningly beautiful little boat. I spent little while talking to Meade about it both before and during the race. He did a great job sailing it in some very trying condtions. He was very positive about how it was sailing. It was a lot drier than I would have expected. I also talked for a while to Hugh Horton at Placida who told me the design was Skip's with input from Meade and Hugh. We agreed it was a lovely bit of sculpture.

Yes, beautiful in that it borrows the lines from tradition plum bowed, strong sheered sailing vessels. A form I have always found irresistible.

The 3/4 veiw from the rear is particularly attractive as well. Cute little bootie on that one...

    Great name too.
The creation of beauty is more satisfying and joyous than mere possession.

Did they happen to mention whether they were considering making plans available?

@John Woodwind isn't the only nice looking boat. I'm rather fond of your Core Sound, if you need anyone to race with you next year I'd love to toss my name in the hat!
