Default How to post a picture

don't attach photos. they're too small. store them online and insert them in the WBF text field. in this video, i first copy the img code from photobucket and paste it directly into the WBF text area. i then go back to photobucket and copy the image url, then use the picture icon in the WBF toolbar to paste the picture into the text area.

in this video, i show how to copy a picture from a website (in this case Paul Gartside's) and paste it into the WBF text area using the picture icon in the toolbar.

    feedback is welcome.

    Okay P-man, two things.
1 I think your little howto should have a sticky because the question of how to post photos comes up on a regular basis.
2 You are building that? If so that's one sweet hull.

No offense P-man but it's a whole lot simpler than all that. Just "copy" the [IMG] URL from whatever photohosting site, come to here and "paste" the [IMG] URL into your reply box. No need to select this or that, click on here or there. Hope this helps

I think recently the way to post them has changed. I tried doing what I normally did and it didn't work. I started clicking around and when I just copy and pasted into my reply box it came up. There must have been a change at some point. It had been a while since I had posted a picture though so in that time........

So how do you sign up to one of these sites without a yahoo account. My wife adamantly refuses to open a yahoo account. I tried Tinypic, but the pics are too small. Picassa didn't work. Photobucket wouldn't work with a Mac, or whatever. I can't get past the first step....for way too long now.

    There's always services like

    Imgur: http://imgur.com/

    Imageshack: http://imageshack.us/

And others...but they're all going require some sort of registration. Another alternative might be Tumblr at http://www.tumblr.com/, but its more of a blogging platform, though many people use it for photo blogs.

One should note that a certain amount of nudity is to be found on these sites and corporate nannyware may block access to them.

Myself, I like Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/). I think it's the best of the breed, despite Yahoo!'s attempts to kill it via beniggn neglect. Worth the $25/yr for the "Pro" subscription.

    Download your photos tp Flickr
    Left click on the photo
Right click on the new photo and select medium 500 or medium 640
Right click on the new medium photo and select copy
Right lick on the post and select paste

or you could put it on the web space that comes with most internet connections. And which you are already paying for. You then own the server space. And you will have it as long as you pay the bill. ...Unlike the "photo hosting" sites which regularly go out of business.
