I was at the launch today of the Compass Project's latest boat, their first traditionally built boat: a 10' Harry Bryan designed Fiddlehead. She was built by a group of middle school students under the direction of our fellow Forum member Jodi Carpenter. And a fine job they did, too:
Arriving at the boat launch:
Jodi with the building crew and volunteers Larry and Greg:
(sorry for the terrible picture Jodi)
And the guest of honor:
I brought her cousin-ship, the Harry Bryan Thistle I built in 2002:
The on the water pics are on my other camera, I'll post them tomorrow. The kids had a great time paddling and pedaling the boats, maybe the some videos, too.
