I purchased a 1959 (or so) Elgin in the fall, which had been a barn find and then didn't progess as quickly as the next owner wanted. So I found myself with a mostly stripped, stripped down classic with nice lines. My first research led me to believe it was of Yellow Jacket orgin then finished in Penn Yan, but it could also be a Wolverine Wagemaker or one of several other pedigrees.
It has a soft area on hull but is in pretty good shape. My first instinct would be put a few coats of epoxy on it with glass on the soft spots since I will probably find more. This doesn't quite feel right though. I am open to suggestions.
Second, would anyone know the seat arrangement for such a boat. It is 14' long?
Third, if I have posted this in the wrong place, tell me where to go...
