I'm gonna post away about boats. . .
Nothing like having a fully rigged keel boat on top of the cabin as your dinghy.

Mother, should I trust the government. . .
Looking at the smoke stack, wouldn't you say that it's steam driven?
Well if you like Barbara Bush I can see how you would see everyone else as stupid.
Or a boat with its own car...

I think a cat would compliment that tug much betta. Besides, a gaff auxiliary might bring more lift.
Study Peace
I would have picked this for a spare rather than a blow boat.

That's the best use of a Cal 20 I have ever seen.

And there is this..
A whale, but it's swimming backwards.. stoopid
How about this one from BB Crowinshield. He made some of the prettiest overhangs on sailboats.

That boat aboard the tug looks suspiciously like it was made of frozen snot... isn't ANYONE going to disparage it?![]()
Tish happens (I'm dyslexic)
the tug almost looks like a schooner
Looks to be a Cal 20... what else needs to be said? I ran one up on a sand bar a couple times, when I was a kid![]()
If only I had a green light to post Rabinowitz's pics of Aurora . . .
For sheer chutzpah I kinda like the boat with its own car
Good point. Now that I think about, this vessel has some similiarities to Aurora or LMC IV. Of course Aurora was merely a shy 22 feet. I could reach forward from the cockpit just far enough to hang a bumber on a little cleat about midship. The bow line led back to the cockpit from a foredeck cleat. On occasion I found myself draped over that deck on all fours. No anchor.
'Full marks for the fidelty to a vision . . .' I like that.
Maybe there are little laugh-in pop up deck hatches on the boat with a car.
The thread post almost pulled me in....![]()
$kipper 68:fatal error...The more I learn,the more of danger to myself and others I've become! !
The biggest Tallship in Canada was a tugboat. Captain Rogers razed an 'Empire' class wartime 205' tug, stepped three steel masts with gaffsails and a bowsprit. Lightened and re-engined her stern became higher and the plumb stem became raked. The 'SV Empire Sandy' has sailed many thousands of miles as a schooner.
