Members seein some "land yatchs" flyin around the mud flats years ago out from Derby and had a yarn to one old fella about them and he and his son had apparently had a holiday in the States some years back and had been in awe over the ice boats a year or so later a bit of doodling and drawing trial and error and there they were...

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzooooooooooom!!! His son he reckoned was a real speedfreek and kept increasing the length and size of the mast and sail! I mean that thing ...FLEW!!! ... well till it hit a bungarra and went a over t ... he did a spectacular flip though

Looked like a real hoot! but I had to return to work so when I returned the buggars were gone... and thats the last I saw of land yatchs till the net now I even gots me some plans!! free courtesy of some site I wandered into

ooohhh forgot to tell yer we dont have ice like you fellas so we gots to do it on the mud or pindan flats!

SWMBO and friend want me to build them a land yacht for our sand flats, I think I'll quote 80mph at them and see what they say!
