Well, it was interesting, but not convincing. Annie Hill is a big proponent of them, but she says stuff in her books about how real cruisers go with the wind most of the time and beating to windward is overrated, which also says something about them. Maybe more camber would help as indicated in the video, but I'll stick to my gaff rig, with stays.
Camber is the go and it was the flat sail that has caused the negitive attitude towards the sail. Annie now sails with camber on her new boat Fantail in New Zealand. Keep in mind that even with flat sails she still sailed to the Falkland Islands, South Georgia Islands and Greenland. You don't go near those places with a sail that will only sail down hill.
