Guess us north Americans can't see attachments on that forum? Or maybe it's members only? Does anyone have a link to the article?

    Thanks

Looks like the price of admission to the club for us furriners is $60 Kiwi, Garret. Too dear for my poor, retirement budget. That's roughly 2 cases of HSA in USD.

    Wow! Spendy forum.

I guess I'll wait to see if an EnZedder will post more details. Of course an old POS wood boat should be run down by a more modern boat - as we want to get rid of the leaky old things.

    Hi Garret
The $60 you refer to is overseas membership to the Classic Yacht Association of NZ, access to the CYA NZ forum is open to anyone & no charge. All thats required is to register (just your name & email address). We have a lot of overseas wooden boaters on the forum. If you or any others want to private message me your details I will get you set up.
In the mean time the article is below.

It's a shame you didn't read a few more posts above as this had already been discussed and very kindly answered/ resolved by Alan.

    Thanks Alan,
Have done so now. Had been away for a few days and got back last night after 15 hours driving over the weekend with young kids. I probably was not paying a lot of attention last night when I checked in.
    Cheers

Yep, I did actually see that, and didn't want to pester Alan for special treatment when the website clearly specified otherwise.

No big deal, it's really not all that important to me. I just wanted to see what you lot were all up at arms about.

    Thanks for your kind response.

Just followed Gypsy on a trailer through Snells Beach yesterday, headed for the factory units down Hamatana Road. Hopefully there's good stuff happening for her.

Got a big ache in my middle looking at the hole in her side I'd previously seen pictures, but it's different in real life.

Thanks for the update Alan. Should have known not to wait a day, you're faster than the preverbal rat up a drain pipe. Will add one more pic of what John describes as getting a ship into a bottle. Rear cradle arms had to be removed to clear entrance then reassembled once inside and then front arms removed... you get the picture!

The lad with the boat haulage company seems to know his stuff too - seen him at work at the Sandspit yard.

Thanks to John Pryor for his pictures and the website to keep us up to date.

Someone good at moving boats is a treat to watch.

Glad to see she's going to get fixed up!
