Here's a nice page on the history of cutters...
www.cutter.swinternet.co.uk
Here's one that the builder says is from half model of a pilot cutter from the early 1800's. The model is said to have been passed down within the family, until Cap'n Jennings commissioned NA Geerd Hendel to draw it at 22 feet and add a centerboard. Now this boat is being made in (well, let's just say that it has lots of nice wood TRIM). I thought it was a sweet looking little craft nonetheless. Maybe one of the forumintes could inquire whether the plans are available???
