I agree. The World is probably a better place with all those little Jeffs wandering around.

Meanwhile, back at the boatyard for the 3rd week, hoping it doesn't rain.

Today I antifouled the boat, one knee and an eyebrow. This evening SWMBO gave me a deck scrubbing brush for my knee and told me not to use it on my face. I said "Do I look like an idiot?"

Not the smartest thing I've ever said.

Let's hope it's a damp one down here purri. The water here is almost luke warm even a few K's off shore the fishermen say.

    An aside.
I just watched Home delivery, Greg Pickhaver. Asked how he escaped his upbringing, dyslexia etc he said "I just keep going". And so do I. And so did my parents despite the breakup. Interesting, I had contemporaries who stopped when the finished school, finished an apprenticeship, university, retirement etc. I haven't stopped yet and I doubt I will. I was asked what I'll do when I cannot do the physical stuff I do now. Study I reckon. If dementia threatens then I won't be about anyhow.

Sounds like a rakish look Rick, have you considered adopting it permanently? Make up is not so uncommon amongst men these days and you'd certainly have a unique slant………...

I'm not sure about that. After tolerable scrubbing it now just looks like the eyebrow's gone mouldy. I'm happy to say though, that the knee's back to its usual old labrador state.

Anne and I just drove down to the beach to retrieve the boat and were talking about life's sudden surprises. In Peter's case not a good one. Strong language came to mind when I read Duncan's post.

Thanks Gary, I'd not otherwise have seen this one.

Too bad for Peter. Sorry. I've known a few people who have had such with widely varying outcomes. Best wishes from here!

Thanks also from me for letting us know, I wouldn't have necessarily seen it but have added my best wishes.

My strong language escaped when I read it, hopefully all goes well.

But as Kate says, in these cases they'd never operate unless they knew that it would be effective, so after talking to her about this last night I must say that I'm feeling more positive than when I first read the news.

Saw a large tail fluke lift out of the water today out past Cook Island. At first I thought early whale but I don't think it was. Possibly Dophin though it looked bigger so I'm thinking large shark.

    If it's a whale, it's a bit of a fluke. Right?
