Must have been a particularly toxic one Duncan...I've had a few over the years but never near the eye.

The swelling seems to be getting slightly worse as time goes by, so off to the hospital!

I'm finding it difficult to laugh right now. Not having stereoscopic vision is playing havoc with my balance and depth. Missing things when I go to pick them up is a bit disturbing. I've got so much to do and I was so looking forward to a sail. Waiting to see the doctor now.

You both need to wash your mouths out with soapy water. Steroids and phernergan and hopefully better by Sunday!

Phernergan wont do much for that shiner at this point, however steroids may just improve your sailing performance.

Speaking of sailing I am looking for Simon since he is the only one I know that owns a swage tool any ideas?

Had a big win today. I got up in the roof and after i figured out all the different pipes going to/from the hottie plucked up my courage and installed the little header tank just above and hooked it up. fired up the pump and it actually worked!!!! after we purged all the air from pipes it now seems i can get clean again and my wife will let me in the bed tonight. Cant help looking over my shoulder for a torrent to come through the manhole but......
Thanks heaps Phil for the tip off about SolarOz.

Thanks Gary enthusiasm is waning especially when no interest is being shown in my making a rather large effort in getting the MJ on the water ,and it takes two boats to evaluate performance.
Instead I watched my youngest sons Griffith Uni Hockey game yesterday, and building large garden planter boxes along with other yard related chores today.

Dealing with wood here, can't give it away. Big dead gum trees make big heavy pieces. I think I'll buy a splitter.
And summer has arrived with a bang, 28 today, 32 monday. Dry as a ………..
One of these days I'll get out on the water again.

we.re down to 50% of our water storage, wondering when the spring rains gonna start. looks like I spoke too soon about the water system, hot taps work ok but for some reason the shower is only a dribble. Looks like its back to a real header tank. isnt it amazing how boatbuilding time evaporates

Neighbour came round this morning, put his ute over a humped bank - all 4 wheels off the ground. Fixed that, and I got a days work out of him and his BIG chainsaw. 90% of the tree is cut, stacked and mostly cleaned up. I got firewood coming out of my ears.
I store about 75,000 litres in tanks Andrew, and another 5 in barrels round the garden for 'spot watering'. This will be a dry hot year and I will buy in water for the garden, and specifically for my fern gully which is still under restoration. The one good thing is that in a dry year I can properly address the erosion further down. There are eroded slots there 5 ft deep.
Maybe next month I can get out in a boat again. I almost bought one last week but I'm not using the craft I have so…………….

Have a look and see if there is a water saving restrict or in the shower head. Little piece of plastic.

Duh ! Why didn't I think of that .... I had the same problem a few weeks ago with a new shower head and a dribble of water ! Flick it out and all is well!

my boat search has been fairly inactive. i saw the Scamp for sale in Launceston, and would possibly have purchased it, except someone living in Tasmania was able to buy it sooner than i could organise anything. I think a Scamp would do 95% of what i want to do in a boat, I just don't want to build one (not enough time).

this boat from the mornington peninsula was shared on the woodenboat magazine facebook page http://www.domain.com.au/advice/arch...151002-gjzqwj/

there's some nice features, the cost must have been enormous... i think you could sell any boat with a nice drone shot like the background image of the architects webpage, check that out! http://marchstudio.com.au/

It's an aft extension of the cuddy. The boat is, to my knowledge, the first and only live-aboard SCAMP. There is a stainless frame structure over the aft cabin, with solar panels. A small outboard motor hangs off the transom. The in-harbour layout is as-shown with a tent filling in between the cuddy and the aft cabin. The bloke who lives on board is no midget.
