Feels like Summer here, humid, quite warm and drizzling. The boats turned round so interesting day tomorrow.

Taught a primary school ethics class this morning, coffee with friends late morning then a lovely afternoon sanding old paint off chamfer boards . Life is good.

You give them a format they can use. OpenOffice gives a wide range of file formats to save as....including PDF.

Lots of multi scan setups around here. Booze, drugs, fines, rego and licence checks, even a basic roadworthy by observation. Number plate recognition and speed set-ups a K or so before.
Actually I note that they are attempting to do something about tourists racking up the points and fines and then just flying away without consequence.

Lets just say I'm trying to create options. I don't think there are any jobs in Adelaide that I want to do. And if there were I think there might be about 100 candidates ahead of me in the line.

Its the multiple passes through different systems that's the issue. A draft will flow back and forth between different machines, multiple times

Its bad enough with all that... trying to get formats right - and the damn styles would drop out between versions. Luckily, I was on T&M on my last project.... and I handed the reports over to a style expert to polish it all up and a turd became a diamond (and if we get lucky, Dunc will get some work out of it all too).
Insist on RTF format and will be able to use any word processor. Trust me on this.

Another lovely day of sanding chamfer boards and taking children to the creek . The latter was slightly more fun.

Hey Tom, a neighbour of ours is selling a little GRP dinghy. It's light, a bit wobbly but okay, comes with oars and has no holes in it. He's going to advertise it on Ebay, he says, for $250 - 300 - whatever that's supposed to mean! I'll get a picture if you're interested.

My diesel is going in a 16ft dory, which to be used as the tender for 30 something foot steel boat. I am assuming it's a cabin cruiser or similar. The guy is going to send me a photo as I'm curious.

We had perfect sailing weather here today - about 15 k steady E wind. Really lovely!

Looks like a glorious day Peter, my brother is quite big into the paragliding and I can see the attraction. I envy them hovering over that stunning countryside. Is that Numinbah road on the way to your place?

    Files with small parachutes?

SWIMPAL used to paraglide down just near Wollongong. At about 200 flights she decided that it was time to stop.

BTW, congrats on the first hire Phil. Lettuce know how it went!

Paragliding is one thing I would like to do. That looks like pretty crowded airspace. With no organised control. Yikes.

I assume they do have rules about right-of-way etc. I did hang gliding in the late 1970s and early 1980s and there were clear rules of the air, so all this time down the track I'd be surprised if there weren't similar but better rules in place now for paragliders. It would be an awesome way to fly
