Yes, expensive to buy and very expensive to own. Very comfortable but limited by its deep keel - 3m+, and sheer size. She's in great condition and spotlessly clean.

Hamilton Island's a funny place. Towering apartments and a little row of shops and restaurants. The area is beautiful though and there are lots of curlews running around, which is nice.

Several things come to mind A very young Canadian captain throws up the massive spinnaker throwing up a one meter stern wave while negotiating the fleet of cruising yachts anchored at Bora Bora. Then there where the bulkhead failures in the seventies, and luckily I missed out on one of those deliveries.

Totally nuts. With the RRP on such an engine at about $40k it doesnt seem to come close to demonstrating that sort of value.

Just stupidly rich. Its a flash toy, shiny and fast - there's probably some sheikh or other out there. Make himself a private lake in the desert just to run around in it.

I got a spin in a very nice new Maritime vessell a little while ago.
Twin motor, two seater, inflatable sides, alloy hull and cabin etc... You see em around.

    That was $100k new.

Interesting similarity to the bail runner boats in the Florida Keys back when low level night flights fro DR used to drop bails of grass and drugs of the Keys. Then the scramble was on for the bail hunters to clean up left overs and beat the coast guard.

Looks like like the whole family will be heading home today .Although Nellies Dads $8000 Hospital bill still has not received a letter of payment from the Australian Insurance Co despite having forked out over $500 for additional coverage due to his pre existing Broncheatic condition. .

We have one of those, PD20.
This is PD30, 11.3 m, 2 x 300hp Suzukis, 4 seater. We've had her up to 31 knots but she will go through 100 lts an hour at that speed.

    He certainly looked the part.
I would happily wear a Greek fishermen cap but for the cliche factor.

Thanks Rick I was hoping to catch up with you. Unfortunately Nellies Dad went back into the hospital this morning.
Nellie’s mom is not well and she will be spending the night with her up the road from us. That means I am holding down the Fort and cooking for the boys tonight.
You are more than welcome to spend the night “l’ll put an extra plate on for you and can give you a lift to the Airport since the John Flynn Hospital is located adjacent to it.
