The four course races where held on the weekend .
WB and crew did well placing third after which I enjoyed one of the best Southport to Tweed Heads passages in light NE.

Just finished my haul out today at the Tweed Slipway, just a shame it could not have been before the race.

Well I found that the mooring I ought at Port Huon actually exists, so that's good. It's in a nice little bay.

That's a lovely spot. I could handle cruising around that area.

I stupidly started a full time job again a few weeks ago. No time for anything important. Couldn't even take Pixie to the Classics Regatta.

First race was so light I came close to loosing steerage, the rest was light 5 to 10 knots .

All the rewiring that I wanted to do after installing Masina's new engine is just about complete now - I still have some solar gear and the anchor windlass to go - so I've moved on to other things. I've just completed hooking up the freshwater system so that I can now flush the heat exchanger with fresh water after running the engine. And today I cleared out the lazarette where I'm installing a second fuel tank. Once that tank's in, I'll remove the old tank and make sure it's all okay. The area of bilge under that tank is now the only area left that I haven't really checked out so I'm looking forward to that.

Speaking of which ..... Neil, have you or anyone else seen The new book of Ed Burnett's designs? I saw some shots years ago of a couple of yacht interiors that Ed designed and I thought they were really beautiful. I'm wondering if there's much on interiors in the book.

So sad that Ed died. He was truly a great guy and enormously talented.

Rick, at the WBF the owners / builders showed me over the 'Lucy' and gave me a cd of the build. I have since bought a copy of the Ed Burnett book ,so much talent.

I'm concerned about one tree, a neighbours just over the fence. But it won't fall on anything structural.
Of course it'll likely be fine and something we think is safe as houses will come down.

I had a tour of Yukon in 2011 in Nukualofa. Recognised it straight off. Those davits are hinged and stay down by weight alone. The idea being they'll lift if a sea gets under the boat. Impressed me.

You'd want a good solid dinghy to lift them though. They are solid! Beautiful shape to them. I had a look through photos of the rebuild Dave and Ea did. Just amazing. The boat was sunk when Dave acquired her. Swapped for a case of beer. Replaced just about everything I reckon. Not quite Tally Ho, but planks, deck, interior, hatches, cabins, systems, rig. Just incredible.
