Hey Hallam, you must nearly be travelling in the company of Reuben Kent and the ketch Indi a work colleague of mine.

I'll be leaving Port Adelaide on Monday on the One and All.

Last night, Ruben rafted up to this boat from Port MacDonald skippered by a cray fisherman and The Jane Kerr rafted up to us. Plenty of stories around the table at the Queenscliff Esplanade pub.

8.5 knots, 2 reefs in a gaffer. Down wind? 30 knot breeze?

Just passed the Cody bank off cape Patterson. The south westerly arrived an hour ago gently at first then building to about 20 - 25 knots. We are getting 7.5 knots at the moment, earlier when the northerly was peaking we where doing 10 knots averaging 9 between west head and seal rocks, we where about 7 miles off the coast

Most of the blocks on my dad's boat were Jarrah, but I have a feeling he may have done a couple in Redgum. They were very simple one piece rope stropped blocks, finished with linseed oil.

A couple of stinkers before the change. We were setting up for the Regatta, and the only civilised place was under water! And we were right on the beach!

Anchored overnight at the glennies, welcomed by a pod of dolfins as we approached. Caught 2 snapper and a mackerel that went straight on the bbq. Off at first light on our way to Deal

Up to 42 C here today. I think that's the hottest we've had this summer. Supposed to get a bit of a change tomorrow night but it looks like tomorrow will be hot again.

Regatta is going well, me not so much. Massive cramp or strain in my right thigh resulted in a capsize, but I self rescued OK. Cannot walk very well, no more sailing for me for a while probably. Oh well.
