Yes I was assembled by parents who were drunk at the time.

I wish I could blame it but this time it was me hitting the wrong key.

Singing ? Now there's a subject.... the constant desire to sing seems to be a byproduct of having a surgeon cutting bits out of your/my brain. All those old songs I never thought about have come back and keep falling out of my mouth ... Pinball Wizard, Tobacco Road, The Letter Song, some Gerswin. Fun is you aren't near me.

Singing! I love singing, especially when someone else does it. Speaking of which the sprog is away in Brizzy for a few weeks singing for a living, and in his spare time he's (wait for it...) Singing! He's doing a song-of-the-week thing video. I'll see if I can post a link to the latest one here. There's lots of story telling too so if you just want the singing bit fast forward to 3:50

Please never be embarrassed, it will inhibit your expression. Sing up, sing loud, sing proud. Sing!

Talking of visiting, looks like I may be doing a trip to Melbourne next year. A mate wants a hand to build a deck on the back of his house. So I’m thinking a visit to Jeff might be in order.

    Tumlaren update:
    I've literally missed the boat.
The combined effect of my drill-into-foot episode and my mechanic trashing my car on Wednesday caused a delay for someone else to buy the boat.
I am consoling myself with the knowledge i have a functioning foot again, i still have a boat and there is a 3-day weekend ahead.

And you'll be welcome Gary. When? I'm going to Goolwa in April, but our Regatta is on the Australia day weekend. I'd find a boat for you to sail.

I have no idea Jeff but given my sense of poor timing it will be in April.
It would be nice to do a catch up...preferably with a glass or three of single malt and no rush.

Too true, and there is much pleasure in the search.
However, my insurer today tells me that the car is a write-off, so i am expecting ongoing tussles between my insurer, mechanic and me :-(
No doubt will sour the weekend ahead.

Sorry about the Tum. One of those once in a lifetime opportunities. How did your mechanic manage to write your car off???

Moving it by hand out of workshop as the battery was disconnected. Missed a wheel-chock, it got away down a hill, driverless. Ended up in a ditch. no-one hurt. Hard to explain to the insurer.
    This is the good side.

Bugger. Pretty much a bad day for the mechanic. We all know insurers are scumbags, but if you have comprehensive I'd be demanding a very quick payout on that, and it's then up,to your insurer to recover from the mechanic. Not your headache, that's why you have insurance. Not Allianz I hope.

As its an older car - aka a 'classic' - its insured with Shannons. So far they have been excellent to deal with. Negotiations go on with the other party, but it will likely be OK in the end.

On the subject of insurance. We have been doing some work on insurance for the Regatta. Personal, 3rd party and liability. Although we have races they are not championships and consist of various old boats from out of date classes. Thus with a Yachting Victoria policy for such community events we are covered. As for the boats, that is for the individual owner and because most of them are rescued wrecks, the are assigned no value but can be covered if you pay the premium asked. But their trailers are covered oddly as current roadworthy, registered vehicles.

Grantala went to a new owner yesterday. He's slipping her today.

I've held back the bronze from him, for the present. His eyes popped when I showed him the rather nice stanchions. Told him he'll get it down the track when he proves he's saved her. Same for about $10k in teak. I'm giving him the remainder of my Queensland Maple stocks... and he's taken the QM faced marine ply.

Which reminds me, in case I don't catch up with Greg. Mate, if you are looking in - I found those portholes for your H28 yesterday. Probably a bit heavy to post. I will leave them with Di for you to collect if you are coming through Sydney. All yours - but you owe me a beer.

conditions didn't seam that bad? 60km gust recorded, 1-2 meter seas with a 2 meter swell, an experienced sailor, main stowed....
    I wonder what really happened?
