Thanks Jeff those Hobie foils sure look exiting. Do you think a single foil used as a leeboard and also adding performance might work on my TN?
I can envision the foil mounted on a sliding plate which could be adjustable ,and by raising the assembly it could be tucked underneath the hull reasonably for beaching or trailering.
Also should add since this type of foil is designed for 4-5 degrees of heeling my reasoning would indicate that’s where the optimum groove would be regardless of the tack, using just one foil. Since the Tammie Norrie is a lightweight this could easily achieved with
positioning of the helms person.

A very well sorted boat and just about the right size.

Tom my bent foil was nowhere near as scientific, laminated timber the same way as you build a bent shaft paddle and a deal of guesswork as to angle and design, but it allowed for a more extreme heel without losing 'leverage' on the water. Of course I wasn't attempting to 'fly' the canoe.

For what it is Tom, just get a board and make the edges a bit round or sharp or whatever. You don't need this thing to fly to the moon for chrissakes

Where was that sign Phil.
Well looks like we are going sailing on Saturday. Wind speed predictions are 12-13 knots SSW-S, zero chance of rain...should be a nice day.

Trip to Jaycar at Burliegh today for a new inverter. Bought a 12v 1,000 watt, 2,5000 watt surge for $199. Then it was off to the Good Guys for a new juicer...900 watt breville for $119. The inverter is totally silent and the juicer is just perfect, gives a smooth drink and no vibration.

Cheap! Inverters have come down amazingly.

I think I can remember them selling for a dollar per watt.

Well I have to say it’s damned efficient, which leads me to think the old one was faulty.
