Reluctantly, I agree with him! Get him to take progress photos and a diary - I think that would be a better record of the project for his assessment.

Yes, I think he has to do that anyway. I was thinking a thread here would be fun, but also a novel resource to include as part of the project.

These threads are funny things - sometimes there's little commentary, other times there's soooo much drift, arguments about glues etc. It would be fun for us - maybe not so much for him! You're the dad - you know him! Great project however it's reported!

If he is at all sensitive about the project then I would suggest he stays away.

He could do two projects in one here. A build project, and a psychology project on organisational behaviour within an anonymous group environment.

I know what you mean. It's very easy here for people to inflate their own sense of self by telling others basically how stupid they (the others) are.

Good one sounds like the Tumulgum Passage Race will be yours this year ,although I still managed to run aground in the past even with a sounder as you know.

Unfortunatley I won't be able to to attend this years event, and worse I will probably miss the QCYC Vintage Regatta since I had to cancel WB's haul out due to our Canungra's tenant problems and property make over.

The basic plan is affordable. About $AU51 a year.

Blowing its ring off up here........I really don’t like this wind, ‘never suffered from hay fever until the last few years and the wind is making it very uncomfortable to work outside with the amount of dust and pollen in the air.

What’s with all the pollen in winter here?? Weird

A lovely day here, bit cool but good. Mixed concrete all morning for a neighbour, good company.

Cold and a bit damp with a strong SE wind. But dry, Melbourne's water storages at 63% and wonder of wonders the much maligned Desal plant is in production.

Prevailing winds in Victoria in my younger days always had a westerly slant. These days the prevailing bias is easterly resulting in changes to sand bars, river mouths and estuaries etc. I was wondering about the shallow entrance to Bermagui on the Arawana thread.

Been waiting on a reply from Cruising Helmsman on whether they are interested in a story on Redwings first cruise...just noted it was still sitting in the draft folder. Gone now and fingers crossed.

Thanks, it would certainly pay a few bills or maybe buy a new depth sounder...maybe both.

Things have changed, we used to get rather horrendous Westerlies late winter, massive shuddering gusts that would blow my zucchini crops , 5000 plants, right out of the ground and heap them against the opposite fence.

We get nothing like that now. Happily.

Since my trip I've had no desire to delve into the Bilge. And it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day.
