It actually looks like there's a dredged drain channel every couple of hundred metres running at right angles to the river. This time of year the river is quite high with all the rain coming down. We had to divert around the road in the Huonville township which runs alongside the river on Saturday evening because it was partially under water. And there's a spot halfway between Huonville and Franklin where the river was lapping at the edge of the road. We couldn't reach dad's dinghy to go for a row because the little jetty it is tied to was under water.

This traditionally built CB Jubilee 18 is still on my wish list particularly now that I found her whereabouts .

Should have left my boots on. Guess I’ll do some indoor stuff, like sewing the cover for my outboard.

I may have to be patient as she is not for sale.

Is that gunter rigged Tom, it looks very much like an 18 ft boat I got to sail back in the 90s. It would be long gone by now it had substantial rot.

                            A snippet.
When he awoke his eyes were a bit blurry but as they cleared he became aware of a pale glow but right there in front of him was Ogden Fairweather as if it was perfectly natural for them to be in a dark forest in the middle of the night. “Ogden Fairweather where have you been?” but before he could say anything else he heard a little laugh behind him, sitting up he turned around. There, sitting on the fallen tree, was a pretty girl. Now Icknittle lived alone and generally spoke to his cat for company, but even Icknittle recognised a pretty girl when he saw one, even if she did glow in the dark."Um, hello," he said. "Who are you?"

Jubilee one design class by Charles Peel in 1935 last timber one built in 1967 with moulds taken of and from then on built in fibreglass . Many of them call Ballerat YC home. Interestingly we have 6 boats up in Queensland several usually take part in the Vintage Regatta..

Just curious did you live on Macleay Is seeing you are well known there?
In which case I know the boat you are referring to since I looked at it years ago.
