Clever misdirection with the naming of the picture. It's obviously a jousting stick. How much do you want for it?

He'll never get that, tell him he's dreamin.
My take is that if you poke someone with a sharp stick they'll get annoyed, if you smile and shake their hand they will be your friends.

Located in picturesque Moffatdale this fully fenced 1 acre block has views of Bjelke Petersen Dam.
    That explains the flag.

Friday afternoon... boring conference call with Bangalore, so indulging in some boat-dreaming.

Mark Twain has been around on Sydney Harbour and elsewhere for some time, and like almost S&S boats is highly lust-worthy.
Up for sale, looking great, at what looks like very good value.
One of those timeless IOR boats from before they got distorted. More photos here.

Wow!!! Way to throw the cat amongst the pigeons Chris.....I couldn’t tell you how many times I have lusted after that boat and how many hours I spent drooling over it and Margaret Rintoul II at CYC.

I don't like too much tumblehome but I do like this boat. Seems very cheap, with lots of gear that ought to be okay too. Sails are quite new. People just won't pay much for older boats. I do wonder if this one has issues. The deck could be stuffed - very good chance of that. The keel might be loose - also a good chance of that. Engine - who knows? But it all looks good in the photos! Not a boat for cruising though. It would need the cockpit and traveller arrangement modified for that, it would need a good dodger (at least). It would be a handful for short-handed sailing and the interior accommodation. But it would be fun setting up and sailing a boat like this one - that's for sure!

And that probably sums it up. Not competitive as a racer, not quite right as a cruiser, so not much of a market. Id have thought though with lazy jacks and a medium sized roller headsail shed be pretty manageable.

She'd be very competitive under IRC; look at the way her big sisters like Love and War, Winsome, Spirit of Koomooloo and Pinta M have done in the Hobart over the last decade - each of them has been in the top 3 in class or overall.

Plenty of her hull sisters, the S&S 39, have cruised a lot. Chuck on a dodger and it'd be fine for many of us. I confess I did give her half a thought, but heavy masthead riggers are not to my taste; give me a light fractional any day.

Thanks, but I've discussed with family, and told Joel it's not what we're looking for. Thanks for all your help by the way. Was worth it just to catch up with you and C again.

Took Anne off to sing with her choir at a sunday musical afternoon today in an old well preserved timber church. Three hymns ands a short homily, well it is a church. Second him I knew the tune well, from infancy when it was one of my 'lullabies' from my naval dad. But the words.......... not the ones I have known all my life! I had to try hard not to laugh.
