If you come South I'd recommend not doing it in winter.

Yes I think it's the sort of thing that would drain the batteries well below 50%

Time to start spending money on materials for this haul out, it’s starting to get close.

Planning to use 135 gm Hi Tensile Eglass on the mast this time. The stuff I used when I built it was quite lightweight and it's worn off in places.
Went and stared at the sea for a while yesterday, very pleasant to do.

Then I wandered around to where Teranora Inlet meets the river and dabbled the toes in the water, you can see how narrow the channel is.

Is that for abrasion resistance from the battens Gary ? Isn't Dynel the most abrasion resistant cloth ?

Yes in fact I'm going to replace the webbing batten parrels with 6mm braid inside 12mm black low pressure poly pipe. Dynel is possibly more resistant to abrasion but it doesn't wet out clear and I want...SWMBO insists the mast have a clear finish.

Another little scarf I’m getting better at this stuff all the time. Happy with the yard bill under 400.

Garry thought I saw you cruising by on VMR

Too busy for a quick chat or “Just sitting on the dock of the bay watching the tide roll in”?

Pretty ****ty weather here today, but as i hit the coast on the way down to the boat, there was the One and All, taking punters out for a sail, fairly well reefed and pushing into it. great to see her being sailed regardless of the conditions.

Here's a picture of the temporary shed David 'threw' together for the boat he's about to build:

He's good ! I would have liked a steeper pitched roof with all those trees around. A layer of gum leaves can completely rot a tin roof on a low pitched roof.... DAMHIK.

Probably won't rust out in 2 years but yes, there are many faults with this shed which are fun to point out.

Still, considering he 'threw' it together, it turned out remarkably shed-shaped.

Yes, the fun in finding fault is really the thrill of the hunt.
