Not me, it would be a pain to keep all that stain glass clean.
I wonder why she can't be sailed.. motor is not in her so that's out but sails..... HMMMM falling appart?

Actually, it appears to be quite a boat.

She's showing it to another couple today and will contact me if it's still available afterwards. Take a number.
While I don't expect a free boat to be fully equipped as listed, it still looks like a worthwhile project, and it comes with all the essential cruising gear, ie stained glass partitions and a dangling tiffany lamp in the saloon.

Good luck, seems like a great boat.

I wonder how or why the owners had to dump the boat inside of a week. Maybe a 'marketing ploy' to get someone to (finally) take it off their hands fast... or the yard wanted it out or was going to saw it up... or ???
In any case I hope the owners vetted the new ones reasonably well. Hodgdon-built Aldens aren't all that common.

It is in the yacht club yard shed at the yacht club in. port Jefferson (i think) long island.

It looks like Lassez-Faire was owned by John Doswell and Jean Preece. According to the fireboat JOHN J HARVEY's web site:
John Doswell and Jean Preece
Owners of Doswell Productions and very active in the waterfront community, John and Jean number among their causes North River Historic Ship SocietyandFriends of Hudson River Park. They keep their ketchLaisser Faire at Pier 63 Maritime, where John also functions as the dock master.
Sorry they had to let her go. I hope her new owner live up to her high standards.

Thad, you might be in luck. Not sure if this is the same boat or not but...

If it wasn't for the gutter my mind would be homeless.
or had 6, one inch diameter fire hoses shooting sea water up to the deck beams!
as happened to my buddy on Gaucho.
