    Default 2012 Small Reach Regatta

    The 2012 Small Reach Regatta has been set for July 18-22. The venue will be, for the third year in a row, at Lamoine State Park not far from Mount Desert Island, Maine.

    I've never been... but this looks like a marvelous event!

    Is this the year that you'll be instituting the shuttle service for those of us on the wrong coast? <G>

    Are you figuring via the Panama Canal... or the Sam McKinney overland route?

    Might be worth it, for the Regatta, and some time spent sailing your corner of the world. Not in the cards for me this time, though. Enjoy!

    I read a very funny book a few years back about a guy who hitch hiked around Ireland with a fridge. One could try to hitch across the states with a boat. It might be an even more interesting adventure than the Small Reach Regatta. A good tale to regale the grandchildren with. Might even be a book in it.

    Hitch hiking seems to have fallen on hard times over the last 40 years. Best leave tomorrow.
