Well it's time to start a new project and the Dark Harbor 17 1/2 sort of caught my eye. I'm looking for information on the building process as well as comments on the design/potential mods. I already know about WB #37 which I'm soon ordering. I'd particularly like to see pictures of other dark harbors for a reference. Thanks for your help.

I think WoodenBoat still sells plans for both of the Dark Harbors and the Camden Class. I've got a set for the D.H. 12.5 and they are very clear and well done. I imagine that the plans for the other two boats are just as well done. The WB article will get your attention, but the plans and the construction drawing, in particular, will go a lot farther in explaining the process. Construction seems pretty straight-forward, simple but elegant. I think I'd do as little modification as possible. They also have a ship-model kit for the DH 17.5 through the WoodenBoat Store if you want to do a test run.
