46' sitka mast. The incomplete plans I inherited with this project show the double spreaders at 15'4 and 30'8, evenly spaced. The upper spreaders line up with a solid portion of the mast but the solid portion for the lower spreaders is at about 17'. It seems obvious to put the lower spreaders over the compression block but I am wondering if there is any arcane rule of nautical engineering that says I should have three equal distances on a double spreader rig. Waddayathink???

    Dan,

I don't know the answer to your question, but you can edit the header to better reflect what you need to know.
