Thanks guys for all the kind words...
As this decision was made a little while ago the hardest part is made in my head it is just showing it publicly now.
It is not a stop at all for me, It make me just remember how much I miss cruising and sailing and I do actually already looking for another boat to go sail to.... I really miss Ocean crossing...
Whatever you do and wherever you go, go well! Please stay in touch when you can!
Rick
Very sad to hear this news , but I dont understand when you are already looking for another boat ?! Was it the building time or the wrong design ?? Even if you have to pull the workshop down cant the boat be stored under canvas untill your circumstances change.?? It seems like such a sudden and quick change of direction.
Best of luck in what ever you do.
Where have we been ? Where are we going ? Why are we here ?
Headonz... Yeah I know, sorry just don't want to go into details on Internet. It's a perfect design, the building time was alright, it's been 3 months to come at this decision so it's not so sudden and quick you just learned all at once.
And yes I am a boat addict.... I always need to have one, can't help it.

I feel for you - very sorry to hear this!
Hi Stephene, as a fellow builder of similar design and construction boat I can empathise what devastating blow the decision to close this project must be and I feel for you.
Thank you for all your public posting and the inspiration you have given me personally and Im sure many others.
I wish you the very best whatever direction you may take. If your ocean wanderings bring you in my direction you will always be made welcome here.
All the best, Duncan.
Peaceful, Wishing you well in your ongoing adventures, every 'voyage' starts with the knowledge that for any number of reasons, it may not be completed, sounds like you have reached just such a turning point, and am glad you have the courage to choose when you need to to execute your escape plan for the stability and safety of your family. Cheers, Steve/BT
Life does get in the way at times. What else can one say?
I hope all works out for you.

Stephane, you are a young man and as such, especially after a setback, time and patience can be difficult and elusive companions. But as a young man you have more opportunities ahead than you realize.
Good luck to you and yours.
good luck Stephane

+100 to all that has been said above. This project and it's family have been truly inspirational. I hope you keep in touch.
Also very glad to see that you employed Irish contractors to move the boat. It's the only way (although the real professional would be using the counterweight of the hull to steady himself while "clareing a little piece of the ditch, like..." behind him)

Glad to hear she will be taken care of (completed?).
Had you always planned on disassembling the building to get it out?

I hope to read another boat building thread by you soon.
Don't worry I'm happy
Many of us here have a solemn understanding of this difficult decision. I think of you guys often and am really sad to see this chapter close. I hope you will encourage the new owner to show us a photo or two as they progress. The hull is beautiful, getting her out of the shed really shows off the lines. I hope that you are working to a new dream, and that you never forget the passion you felt when taking the risk. I also hope that you find your way back to the sea someday, and that I meet you in some distant, beautiful anchorage.
Give Stephane my regards, he's welcome in my shop or on my boat any time.
Good luck to you both and to the new owner. Thanks for sharing so much of the project with us. I hope all goes really well for you.
Rick
Thank you all for the encouraging comments!
The new owner will store carefully the boat in a boat shop, near here, and he'll try to found a motivated boatbuilder to continue this wonderful project! He supposed to keep us update.
Wish she'll continue to live, and one day...sail, as a sailboat is intended to do!
Thank you Catherine! Please pass on my best wishes for you both to Stephane as well. I echo Mr Madison's comments that I hope you both get to sea sooner rather than later. And also the general sentiment for the new owner to keep this thread alive with updates and photographs.

Thanks everyone for the comments...
I've just bought a Westsail 32, which will need some woodwork on it (Bowsprit, hatchs, skylight, everything to look like a woodenboat!)... I may start a thread on it if Fiberglass hull doesn't offend anyone![]()
Good to hear from you, looking forward to see your new project...

Thanks for the update! Be of good cheer and keep us up to date on your projects.

This new ship here is fitted according to the reported increase of knowledge among mankind. Namely, she is cumbered end to end with bells and trumpets and clocks and wires. It has been told to me she can call voices out of the air or the waters to con the ship while her crew sleep. But sleep though lightly. It has not yet been told to me that the sea has ceased to be the sea.--Rudyard Kipling

Oh no Stephane! Shame on you! Get rid of it immediately - haven't you been told that if God had meant us to build fibreglass boats he'd have made fibreglass trees? You can't possibly think you could enjoy sailing such a boat! You will hate gliding through those tropical seas, catching a warm trade, anchoring in some white sand fringed bay so far away ...... none of this will be enjoyable at all in a fibreglass boat!
Rick
Hilarious!
So it's not the end of the world after all?
Reading how to build a Westsail in Mate's 'From a Bare Hull' many, many years ago, is what launched my dream.
Seems we've come 'full circle', Stephane.
I hope the Wetsnail works out for you.

I had to Google W32, very nice design! Rather similar to Allegro 33, a Swedish cruiser that I would like to own one day...

Thanks Guy's ok will do make a whole new thread for it...
It as a 35hp diesel brand new, fridge/freezer, Heater, radar, new rig with Norseman fitting, brand new sails, hull perfectly sound with no issue at all..., stainless steel tank (70Gallons) and more... All that for less then it cost me before planking the 116A... The Market price here is absolutely ridiculous with the USA having some issue in the economy...
Thanks Larks, yes for those that do no know the model...
