I was thumbing through a Chapelle book last night and was reviewing modified sharpies. That is not a hull design I see very often except on some fiberglass sailboats with swing keels or center boards (the chine is radiused). I never have seen it on a power boat though chapelle did record one that was ICE powered. It would seem to improve the ride of a flat bottom boat without adding too much difficulty in construction. Is this just a design that doesn't lend itself favorably to power or are there other issues?

    Question

power? you mean, like, rowing? i'm not sure what you're asking. i'm gunning up to build a sharpie myself, so i've read and reread chapelle's book myself. what page are you looking at; i'll look at it w/ you. what is the question?
