Does anyone know of a boat similar to the Seal, but with more room below, and of greater LWL? say, about 30 feet? Something in that style, with a simple marconi rig? reletivley simple construction? seaworthy? mebbe a bit of a keel/righting momentum to her?

Thoughts? suggestions? Thanks.

A Folkboat plus eh? It seems to me Choy Lee made a 28 ft. version of the boat, but I can't remember the design. You want to build this boat? SS Gulfstream was very similar, if memory serves. Some of those were built with pilothouses if you aren't planning to go offshore.
So many questions, so little time.

Check out the thread entitled "New John Welsford Design -- sneek peak" It's a 25' double ended yawl. Very roomy.

There have been some reports of a 25' version of the Oughtred Grey Seal. As far as I know, you would have to contact him directly for information.
If you don't think for yourself, someone else will do it for you!
