    Default Goeller12' Dinghy

    Our shop is building the Goeller Dinghy and we're having a hard time finding someone to cast the mast clasp. It is probably not that unusual a piece- the 2 3/4 " mast is held against the back of the thwart by the clasp, which is held in place by two pintle-type thingies. Maybe there's a substitute available?

    By the way, thanks so much for the suggestion to temporarily fasten the planks with drywall screws. We had been trying to use Anchorfast nails, and they would not set below the surface far enough to allow fairing. Not only does screwing through waste strips mack the planks lay fairer, it makes the fairing a breeze....

    Photos or a sketch of the hardware in question? Also check the "Casting Bronze" thread as I think several of the posters are in your area.
