    Bon Voyage. Fair winds.
There is nothing quite as permanent as a good temporary repair.

Thanks Phil, I’d forgotten about that.

Yep! Maybe had to slow it down a bit as they'll have 2-3m swell now and they'll be surfing. Making great time!

Yes! I haven't looked to see just where Minerva Reef is but at this rate, they'll be there soon!

And it looks like they'll have good wind on starboard quarter to beam all week! I wonder how Minerva is in a 20 knot breeze? Good protection from swell there but no protection from wind.

Still romping along at 7-8 every time I look. Hoping soon we have Bruce's new boat to watch too.

I'm guessing they'll arrive at Minerva on Wednesday.

A bit slower now, Monday evening. A fairly intense low ahead and the high over NZ extending its influence to Riada, I guess. The BOM has pretty good wind where they are so I wonder if they've slowed down a bit to let the low ahead move on? I'd guess so as it would be a shame to arrive at Minerva Reef for bad weather - looks like such a beautiful place!

They've also got a fair swell running with them so perhaps they've slowed down to manage that.

Just in time for the trades! Maybe a bit windier than wanted for parking in a lagoon but I reckon they'll be enjoying it! Minerva Reef needs one of those floating cafes ....

    or not!

    Well done crew!

Boat speed 0 again so I guess they didn't leave at all (atoll). This morning the site had them at 5 knots - must be that Kiwi anchor .....

Or maybe they DID remember what Tongan food is really like (i.e., 9 varieties of starch) and returned to the reef

Looks like very light wind there for this whole week. Would be beautiful snorkelling and diving there in these conditions.

I can't see the reef on my screen, or the wind, but from their track it looks a bit like a light wind on the nose.
