So what’s the scoop on Meyer? Few years off, then back at it? It’s been a tough year, but looked like he was over the rough patch.

Inoperable brain tumor. I’m guessing that he’s looking at his last game on Jan 1.

Alabama's offensive coordinator, Mike Locksley, will be named head coach at Maryland. We don't know yet how this affects the playoffs. Sometimes the guys stays throughout the playoffs, and sometimes they leave. We have Dan Enos and he will most likely get the OC job, but he works the sidelines during the games so it would make for a major change in how things get done if Locks is gone before the OU game.

238 yards & 4 touchdowns, including a 99 year TD run, kinda gives him the option to wear whatever hair he wants I think. However, it does look like some critter died on his head.

The mighty Black Bears win over Weber State to advance to the national semifinals! North Dakota State looks almost a shoo in to win yet another title, but it is good to see Maine in that elite company (joining SD State and the winner of Eastern Washington/UC Davis).

Their successful run might be coming to an and. I hear their coach is being targeted by some big-name programs...

The University of Montana lost a championship winning coach to Wyoming about a decade ago. The guy had won DII and FCS national titles but iirc Wyoming chewed him up and spit him out. If I am dominating I am sticking around and enjoying it. People always ask why Nick Saban doesn't give the NFL one last try? Why should he?

In Alabama you will see people wearing shirts that say 'built by Bama'. They should say 'built by Nick Saban'. I would imagine that Bison fans feel the same way.

Did the Saints peak too soon?

They are in their fifth quarter in a row of utterly inneffective football.

Early this season, there was the much hyped "battle of the GOATS", the greatest all time quarterbacks, allegedly being Brady and Rodgers. Rodgers immediately fell off a cliff performance-wise.

Then a few weeks later, Drew Brees was widely celebrated for his yardage record, and widely subject of GOAT talk as well. The last two weeks, Brees has been throwing the ball most effectively to defensive linemen.

    Just an observation.

    The Saints woke up.

Sometimes you just get in a rut. It is a long season. The Saints are one win away from having a first round bye and hosting a second round game. Not too shabby.

And another good thing is that the Rams don't really have much of a home field advantage. Los Angeles fans will worry more about what LeBron is doing in January than their Rams.

Didn't the Pats look stupid. Nice "desperation final play of the game" by Miami. Musta been 3 laterals.
