Bears couldn't keep up the pace. Impressive 3 quarters, though. Their new coach has clearly got them headed in the right direction.
Same same for my Duckies. I think after losing to ASU, we can put to rest the overly caffeinated and overly optimistic thought that the new staff at Oregon was pulling off a Miracle Turnaround from their dismal season prior. What's clear is that are talented... and very young. 111'teen penalties for one million & 13 yards is one indicator of youth. Coming out of the locker room tentatively for both halves is another. I am confident, though, that they'll continue to improve thru the season. Might even get to a decent bowl game. Then next year... they should be humming along nicely.

Well, I don't know about all of the other stuff that went on that your team had trouble with through the spring and summer, but Willie Taggart is a proven winner as a coach so there is no reason he shouldn't succeed.

My Ducks are getting creamed by #11 Washington State. Not surprising, after their star qb went out with a broken collarbone last week, and then the backup went out too. They started the third string, true freshman, qb tonight... and he simply wasn't read for prime time. The running game was solid, but being one-dimensional is never a recipe for success. The defense played well, but couldn't carry the load alone. He showed some good signs, though. I suspect he'll be a good one when he gets a bit more experience under his belt.

Hey. What are you going to do against the Cougs ?![]()
Bama won a tough road game tonight at aTm. Good to get a character building win in the league.
I think that Sparty beat Michigan?
Georgia and Auburn look like contenders for the SEC title. Bama is definitely not going to walk through the league the way we have the last two.

Enough about the Georgia Bulldogs already. . .

I loved the look of Jalen from the first snap. Ideal QB for a power football team. He doesn't get much love, but I think he's one of the best players in the country.
He looks well in command so far tonight. I'd love to see Bama get up a couple touchdowns so I could switch over to the Miami game. I've not seen ND yet this year.
Tough, tough game tonight in Starkville, and one of the few very competitive games among the top teams. The Iron Bowl will be a heck of a challenge.
The U is killing it. So is OU. Some really good teams out there.

Bye week for my Duckies. Good thing... they need to get their starting qb healthy. After a promising start - his injury left them in a tailspin. A freshman had to burn his redshirt to get thrown into the breach. And not very successfully. He had too much learning to do to be effective so early. Still, they are on the right track, with a better record in spite of a bare qb cupboard and the injuries. And recruiting is going really well. Next year. Next year.

Falcons today looking like they did last year. If they can get hot maybe another shot at the apple.
lets save the hype for next week. . .

Seems the term for these games is "cupcake game". Sure, the big boys will win, but that's offensive.

The bye week proved useful. Justin Herbert is back. He looked just a tiny bit rusty, but the improvement was huge with him running the show. Premier running back Royce Freeman pounded and slashed for 4 td's, where he hadn't had a single one in the last 4 weeks, with Herbert out. They hung 48 on a 7-3 Arizona team that some were touting as a potential Pac12 championship contender. They should win next week against last place Oregon State... then it'll be interesting to see if they can continue to build momentum with a bowl win.

Oregon is recruiting well in both basketball & football --
https://www.sbnation.com/2017/11/20/...l-bol-rankings
In fact, Oregon is arguably recruiting better across both sports for 2018 than any other program in the country.
According to the 247 Sports Team Composite rankings, Oregon football has the No. 6 current class. But if you want to use just Scout.com’s rankings (which are now hosted at 247), then Oregon would have the top class in both. The football Ducks are No. 6 at ESPN and Rivals and No. 7 in 247’s non-Composite rankings.

Well, here we are. Any nervousness? Auburn allows a mere 16 points a game on defense. I don't think their O can move the ball on Bama. Field position, good special teams play, and avoidance of turnovers are the keys for Alabama in this game. The kicking game especially.
its the alabama - auburn game, anything can happen. . .

Actually - I'll be interested to see the outcome. But between cleaning up after the mob, and getting some things done at the shop, I have limited screen time. I want to watch my Ducks pummel our in-state rivals in the 'Uncivil War' game. Plus... the Blazers are playing at the same time...

One of Auburn's better defenders is hurt and may not play, or at the least will be limited. Alabama gets back at least one injured player and maybe more. Auburn has the best kicker in the country, and Bama has the best punter. Both teams have great skill people and very good defenses.
Both teams have really good qb's, but Alabama's has been through the wars many times already in his young career, and Alabama has 'the process', which trains these guys from the first day they are on campus to play in games like this.
Auburn is at home, and that matters. If the turnovers are even, I will say Bama wins by 3-7 points. Turnovers will sway the decision, if they occur.

it sucks to lose to anybody
but it really sucks to lose to auburn
well played, aggressive, physical, clean game by auburn
they deserved it
hope we meet them in the national championship game![]()

Gus has now beaten both Georgia and Alabama this season, a stunning achievement in any year, with this season's wins coming against two top-5 teams, each of which are on balance better than his. It may be time to admit that the dude is a pretty good coach. A month ago, everyone thought he would be fired.
Who wants to play Auburn right now? Wow.
Well... I had the feeling that Auburn game was gonna be a toughie.
My Ducks ARE pummelling the Beavers. 38 - 7 and it's not even halftime yet.
And the first Beavers play after the kickoff... was intercepted by the Ducks. And now it's 45 - 7 with over 7:30 to go in the second quarter.
2:30 to go in the half, and the Ducks are up to 52 points.
