    Default william hand.

I am looking for information on William Hand boats.I was wondering if there was a website with a catalog, or maybe even a book. A quick glance on ebay dosent show any books, and google only has a few pictures and the websites are boat specific. I couldnt find any catalogs at all. Does anyone know of a website or book that would have the boats under 30' in it? thanks for your help -John

I do not recall a catalog of his designs organized by type or size. WB ran articles on him that can be found in the magazine's online index.

I think some of his designs can be found at a website DN GOODCHILD. try googling and scroll thru the site.

Here's a 21 foot Hand design from the Goodchild site; Shark . About 8 bucks for 11 pages and 3 plates.

thanks for all of the replys guys. I really liked the d.n. goodchild site and have ordered a couple of plans from them. keep the replys coming! I am thinking about building the Marsh Hen by Doug Hylan, and in his description he says that the bottom form was inspired by Hand. I was looking for the characteristics that would describe this hull form. Thanks again -John
