This is what makes it worth getting up in the morning if you are a boat designer. I got this email this morning about my latest research vessel:
Hi, Roger
We set a speed record with Rachel Carson on November 18. The gps shows
25.7. Going past Drum Pt. at the mouth of the Patuxent we saw 25.8.
Hope all is well. Boat is really living up to expectations.

Even after a year of loading and gathering the stuff that inevitably accumulates on a hard working vessel, she still flies. These hulls are great load carriers. Having the client happy after nearly a full year of operation also has a high warm fuzzy quotient.
