Default ISOBAR, this weeks awesome boat at Shilshole

    Hey y'all,

Living on the dock which the local yard uses for a haul-out staging area, there are some sweet woodies coming and going... here's one I managed to get some pics of for everyone.

    Just because.

    Enjoy.

Absolutely love the small cabin and wideopen deck layout and bulwarks.

Isobar is an unmistakeable Sparkman and Stephens type 1962 design, redrawn by the Harlander brothers of San Francisco, and built by Choey Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong of Teak, Mahogany and Bronze. Originally built as a family yacht with very fast lines for ocean racing, she has a rich and varied history and has stayed in the same family until her recent refit.
The first reference I came across was sailing in a malaysian regatta 2006.. I wonder if she came across on her own bottom ,or was shipped.

    WOW my thoughts exactly
    Isobar, 45X12X8, 12 tons
Black Spirit 33X8X6, 8 tons (loaded)

Almost a perfect 30% scale up!

    This is certainly and inspiration!

Looks like G Dock. Isn't that where they put the transients? So indeed you must see them all come and go.

Beautiful boat. Did they refit her up here? Seaview?

ISOBAR is at the beginning of A-dock, where Seaview stages the boats for haulout and pulls masts. But, yeah, I get to see all kinds of boats come and go. Then often get to see 'em outta the water to get the "full" beauty.
