Hi all.
My name is Tiago, I'm from Portugal and although I own a plastic sailing boat I love wooden boats (not common around here).
Last year I spent a few months in Seattle and volunteered at the The Center for Wooden Boats.
There I had the opportunity to sail Beetle Cats and the Blanchard Junior Knockabouts.
When I was about to leave I was given a simple drawing of hull lines for the BJK.
Since I'm also a model boatbuilder I started building a static-display 1/20th scale model.
The hull and cockpit interior are done, I'm going for the rigging now.
However, I have no rigging diagram and all I can do is figure out from photos.
Here's the information I need (and the measurements I could figure out from photographs):
- mast height (my guess is 19,2ft from the deck)
- boom length (my guess is 11,5ft)
- keel depth - just the keel (my guess is 1,44ft, considering a draft of 2,37)
Can anyone help me on this?
If you're interested in following the construction (Portuguese only, I'm sorry):

Cheers,
Tiago
