And here it is, the issue that my cousin and I borrowed from the library to build a truncated Sailfish that still get's a run now and then and it's still fun. It always leaked and a few years ago after it had taught 5 families of children and a few adults how to sail I thought I'd fix it. But in the end we decided that the leaks were 'traditional' and indeed a safety measure in that everyone knew that in about 40 minutes it would wallow under if not beached and emptied. A good reason not to stray too far out. And so it remains today. If we overstayed someone would have to swim behind, a good incentive to watch the time. One of my nephews has already enquired after it, and his son is only one!
