I know it is marginally boat related, but I don't want to get lost in the bilge.
Has anybody made an ofuro, or Japanese soaking tub? How did you do it? How would you do it? How doable would it be?
Tanks,
David

Not from scratch, however we did have a wood fired, cedar hot tub back in the '90s which I believe is a similar concept. No jets, bubbles, filters nor contoured plastic seats that seem to be major selling point for the plastic fantastic tubs advertised everywhere nowadays.
Loved it while we lived in the Calif. mountains at 6,000+ ft, elev! Trying hard to figure a way to do it here in Maine (slightly colder/ longer winters).
Check Snorkel Stoves if interested.

David,
I asked this question many years ago on the forum and got some good answers - try a search and see if anything pops up.
I will follow this thread with interest - one of these years I'm going to build one!
