The 3M rep finally called us to talk to us about the situation that I posted last sunday. There genius chemists found out that even though the caulk is marketed and says that it is paintable. IT IS NOT PAINTABLE. The chemists tried the same thing we were doing and could not get the paint to dry. Thats a big OPPPS on there part.

Wow! That's a bummer. Could they offer any solution?

What happens now, a caulk sealant or a total strip and caulk sealant?

It is a bad error by 3M. I hope they compensate you. Good luck with the repairs.

How could they not have known, was it just the brand of paint that caused the problems? . , ... or a typo.

    Warren.

ps, Good return post. We will benefit from your post. ly

Sounds like they should be sending you a check in the mail for material and labor costs. Good luck with their legal office!!
