Default how many here have folks on an ignore list?

I have absolutely no one on a list (I am capable of ignoring folks without assistance from a nanny)...wanna start an exclusive club for those who don't need crutches?

I do. I usually don't but for civility week I put a bunch of people on it. Then I got in the swing of it and added people like Stan V and Alteran. I'm up to something like 16 people now.

Don't think of it as a crutch. It's more of a walking stick that can be used to defend yourself from mad dogs.

Early on, I put one person on my ignore list. Then they went away.

The lesson, I think, is... don't be so bootlessly idiotic as to get on my ignore list - or you'll go away too.

Or maybe it was sheer dumb luck. But do you really want to take the chance?

It's not needed. Neither is ice cream, good scotch, or a wooden boat. It'a nice thing to have, and improves one's life. Mine is well-populated.

I don't have one although I've considered putting George Roberts on ignore. It's just too tempting to lay into him sometimes and he's got protection. Maybe he'll just go away at some point. Until then, I'll try to control myself.

I may arbitrairily put someone on an ignore list just to see what it looks like...(temporary)

You can have some fun just doing your own thing, in your own little world, not caring one whit what others will ever say or do, it's easy, albeit time consuming:

Every post in this thread is hidden because the entire forum has you on their ignore list.
And the way to do that is be a little outrageous one fine night when the Scotch is really smooth and smoky and silky and going down really good and say something in vino veritas and get banned.

i would be surprised if i were not on a few peoples lists. after all ,most of the people i pi$$ off are left of center and they tend to be thin skinned when confronted with undeniable truth.undeniable facts.
other than that , i really don't give two $h$$$'s
they like to ramble but I can verbally bring anyone of them to their knees ..they don't stand up to scrutiny very well ..

Sometimes, ol' son, you are the fullest crocka in the bilge.

    1. I've butted heads with you, and I'm not exactly LOC

    2. You didn't bring me to my knees. IIRC, you ended up apologizing for overstating your case.

    3. Quit sucking up to the moderator. I doubt it'll help you in any potential future banishments.

    4. You probably are on some folks ignore list. I doubt it has as much to do with politics as it does the crocka vs. actual content ratio of some of your posts.

I got a few. mostly it is almost a compulsion to research things before i rebut. so folks who continue to post deceptions have now begun populating my ignore list just in self defense. ignoring people is easy ignoring what is written and wanting to make good rebuttals is hard to do when you are interested in almost every thing.

edited to add there are a couple on my list that i told when i first came on this board they where going on it and thats that. they will stay on it till the end of time.
