    Re: An Ilur in Finland

Great choice - I love the Ilur. I sailed with two of them last summer and they are as fast as they are beautiful.

    Very Boaty! Congrats.

You might be surprised about how long it lasts. I started with a Summer Breeze in 2010 and it's still around somewhere living a great life as a kid's fishing boat.

You are a very neat and precise builder. Thank you for sharing.

    Hello Simon, and welcome.

Here is my friend's CLC Passagemaker, which can be made in two parts. In this gloomy photo we're sailing off the coast of Maine, and yes, they sail a lot faster than I...

Looking good Ben. I love your workspace.

  9. Re: Welsford Navigator Build, First Time Build

    Hi Chris

    Welcome to the Club!

I used oak on the centerboard case (I think the plans call for it) and I had no adhesion problems. The whole assembly is stoutly glued and screwed. I also used oak...

Great read! Please keep it up.

So many times we follow the construction of these boats but we don't get to see them in action. Thank you for sharing.
