The soul as you call it is a complex set of electro-chemical reactions which are relevant only when they can be sustained independently of the parasatized female.
"Norm, there's gotta be a way... :D "
Almost certainly. Truth be told I haven't had the need. Ian's handling of his boat does instil a bit of awe however.
All of the above. Or, none of the above. I've come to the conclusion that what works, if anything, depends on the brand of paint or varnish.
I hate you!. I can't even get Prairie Islander off her trailer by my self.

Beautiful boat, Gavin. You get good work out out the old man, eh?

Ya shouldn't even have silicon products in you shop if you are using paint or epoxy. Bee's wax or Akimpucky will help the screws to in easier.

Joy to ya both, Nora.
I used to think living with a 70 year old woman wouldn't be that much fun but it gets better every year. Have no fear.
What my dad called rain crows were yellow-billed or black-billed cuckoos. Very secretive birds but distinctive if one can catch a glimps of them flying from one tree to another. Great at pulling...
If you are just lofting for practice until you start the real thing you don't have to do it full size. A big piece of drafting paper will do the job. For the real thing I like the tortion box idea...
I wouldn't trust my $1,000 sail to a bunch of newspapers. Take the sail off and and store it in a hard box.
A murdercycle. Just what every boy needs for his last birthday.
But can you imagine the look that would be on his face if that little sucker collapses?
I made the scarfs on the edges as you were advised on the first stripper canoe and off set them to form a pattern. However, I believe the correct way, if there is one, is on the flat. That scarf is...
Good one, JD. The worse the experience the better the story. All in all though you sure got some good pictures.
Yea gads! And I think it is stupid that Nebraska does not allow anyone under 18 to ring up alcohol at the check out. They can push the numbers but they can't push the enter button.
Cant call up the detail, Charles. I think it was an article in Atlantic Monthly not long after 9/11.
Never mooned anyone either, but the other day I streaked the local ladies garden club meeting. I won the award for the best dried arrangement.
Saw it one evening just after dark in the moorage at the WoodenBoat School while we were on Prairie Islander. Lucky, eh?
Interesting. I would have thought they'd all been found by now. How many still hurt people?
Actually, from what I've read, grief councilers can do more harm than good.
Talk about hate: Atlantic Monthly, current issue, had a little note about the content of the literature Saudi Arabia is (was, they say) stocking libraries in the mosques in this country with. Scary!
Not a bad idea. It could be worse. (as the say in Minnesota.)
Bed a 1/4" round of lexan behind the frame. I bought plate glass first time around and had second thoughts.

The current bid is an insult. I'm thinking the anchor should be stored on deck.

65 in Wyoming. Ya gotta be kidding. Last trip to Oregon we rented a car which got good enough milage over the F-150 to pay rental cost from fuel savings. Set crusie control 4 mph over speed limit...
No arguement except for the 55mph speed limit until there are reasonable alternatives to getting there.
You wouldn't happen to have the executive summary handy would you?

While ash is less rot resistant it depends on how it will be used. Will the hull be epoxy/glass composite? If so I'd probably use it if it were on hand as you say. It may glue better with epoxy...
