    That won't work, I am afraid. There is a flange at the front of the barometer that holds it to the wooden base, which is 3/4 inch thick

    What's the best way to mount a barometer to a bulkhead? I really don't want to drill holes in the wood surround. There is a hole in the back for a nail, but it's not going to stay in rough weather...
