We're going to be out this weekend, but we've already committed to being in Oxford for the Dickerson Rendezvous.

Our last time at anchor, I just hauled the whole muddy/slimey mess up on deck into a pile of chain and muck. Then I handed a bucket to the young man crewing for us and asked with a smile if he would...

I was lucky enough to be on the team that performed the flight deck qualifications for the Reagan on her first cruise immediately after commissioning. It was quite an experience!

My dad's 87 and doesn't see too well anymore. I found an audio version (unabridged) of Joshua Slocum's "Sailing Alone Around The World"

It's hard to explain to my family why I get so exhausted when we go out for a cruise. Usually after a day or two, I need a lay-day in a quiet cove somewhere to catch up with myself.
There's always Eileen Quinn ( eileenquinn.com ). I think it's her first album, No Significant Features, that has a song about diving called "Rapture Of The Deep".
Bill
Good for them for getting themselves home rather than calling for help.
Bill
Chris, when I get that far  on my skerry, I am going to put an oarlock socket on the stern (maybe one on each side) to use an oar for sculling or steering.
Bill
My condolences :(
Bill
Is that the "K" class? I think I remember reading a book about them.
Bill
I'm coming in late on this, but Norm, you're in my thoughts & prayers. I'm glad you're getting up and about... KEEP AT IT! :D

I'm still waiting for word from my daughter in Daytona Beach this morning. She goes to college (Embry-Riddle) there... or at least she tries to. It's been a heck of a way to start a semester ...
I saw three buy-boats coming into the Patuxent River from the south this evening as I left work. They're not a common sight around here :( so I assume they're on their way to Rock Hall ...
We lived at the Gangplank for a couple of years. What got us a slip there was having a diesel-fired heater, so that we weren't adding that much to the electricity demands.
How about the Solomons...

I am so glad that you were able to bring him home from the hospital first.
Margo, I pray that you and your daughters will be able to find comfort and peace. Have faith that Dave has not gone away...

I get migraines from MSG and was told to stay away from autolyzed yeast extract because it would likely also give me a headache-from-hell
SWMBO just drove her dad to his submarine crew's reunion in Muskogee, OK. The numbers are getting smaller and smaller with every year they go.
